Laos seeks to adopt Tilganga’s eye treatment model

Laos has expressed interest in implementing the treatment model of Nepal’s Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology. During a free eye camp in Laos from February 5 to 7, Dr Sanduk Ruit, who led the Tilganga team, met with Laos’ Health Minister Dr Bounfeng Phoummalaysith, who proposed the collaboration. Dr Ruit said Phoummalaysith praised Tilganga’s success in delivering high-impact outcomes with limited resources and expressed willingness to replicate the model in Laos.

Kathmandu A 26-day-old child of Sabita Shrestha from Kavre was allegedly ‘stolen’ from the hospital. bookmark Swarup Acharya A 26-day-old baby went missing from Maternity Hospital in Thapathali on Friday. According to Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, also spokesperson for the district police range, a Kavre local Sabita Shrestha’s 26-day-old child was allegedly ‘stolen’ from the hospital.
