“I describe myself as a thotful thot—meaning I work in the sex industry, and I strongly believe we need to navigate the world with empathy. Working at the intersection of sex work and sex tech, I’ve seen how the effects of the pandemic, and the legislation conceived by white men in America has ignited a war on sex in digital space and inflicted violence on sex workers—physically, emotionally and economically.

We Lead The World’s Liberation: A Conversation with Sex Work Activists SX Noir And Kate Zen Amid a global pandemic that has reshaped the sex industry, activists Kate Zen, cofounder of Red Light Reader and Red Canary Song, an organization that serves Asian and migrant sex workers, and SX Noir, vice president of Women of Sex Tech and a leader of the Black Sex Worker Liberation march, met up on Zoom to debrief their work and unpack solidarity between Black and Asian sex workers.
