Writing for my college newspaper, covering the women's gymnastics team.

Yes, when I was a kid. Good riddance! Got my first Mac in 1986, and everything was different.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means you contribute to the record of human experience, and with the Internet, your voice can live forever via Google!
What's your favorite social network?
None of them, really.
Why did you become a journalist?
I like to write, and I cannot write fiction. Plus, I am a natural historian, so it's easy to glide right into journalism.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I did not, but I worked for my college newspaper for four years. It was well worth it!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
CBS assigned me daily articles on the MLB playoffs in 2013 and 2014. Those series were great, national opportunities for me to shine.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write anywhere you can and write well to build a portfolio.

What's your favorite drink?
Plain iced tea, no sweetener. Gives me a little caffeine without any calories.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Training for triathlons, as I am a multiple Ironman finisher and a certified triathlon coach.
