Every student who steps on campus must face the same daunting rite-of-passage: move-in day. We’ve all been there — imagining the freedom of a fresh start and a fresh home, escalated to perfection in your head, styled exactly how you want: Pinterest-perfect. There are so many fun and creative ways to go about this process, from hiring an interior designer to antiquing or thrifting to even repurposing a few things from home.

What started as a primarily golf-focused brand in 2016 has become dynamic and evolving, elevating the digital footprint of many athletes and heavily influencing the NIL, or name, image and likeness, sphere. Rhoback, a company based in Virginia, is an activewear brand with programs designed to boost the digital presence of collegiate athletes. Shalen Moore, athlete relations lead for Rhoback, handles a multitude of different involvements.

While most students can relate to the dreaded decision between on-campus and off-campus living, for many it’s not a question at all. Commuters, students who drive a sizable distance to campus from their home, form a whole new category of university livelihood, as they continue to live with their parents while entering a new stage of their lives. Although currently living in an apartment off-campus, telecommunication sophomore Marcella Deer spent her freshman year commuting from her childhood home.
