Senior Mia Klammer scored a dramatic goal to help Syracuse (3-1-1) rally for a 1-1 tie with Quinnipiac (0-2-1) on Thursday afternoon in Hamden, Conn. Klammer's tally, her fourth of the season, came at the 77:22 mark of the contest and knotted the score. HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED: After 76 minutes of scoreless play, the outcome of the match was ultimately determined during a one-minute span. The host Bobcats struck first when Madison Alves found the net off an assist from Corey Anderson at 76:25.

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Women's Soccer played to a 1-1 draw vs. Syracuse in its 2025 home opener on Thursday afternoon in Hamden. Senior Madison Alves netted the Bobcats' lone goal of the match in the 76th minute of the game. First year Corey Anderson played it in from a corner, and Alves finished it off for her first of the season. The Orange would score less than 60 seconds later to even things 1-1.

Senior Maya McDermott, graduate student Kendyl Lauher, senior Mia Klammer and freshman Julia Arbelaez each found the net for the Orange. Senior Shea Vanderbosch made five saves and earned the shutout in goal. HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED: The Orange pounced on the Golden Griffins, scoring twice in a 45-second span early in the first half to construct a solid margin. McDermott struck first by taking advantage of an attempted Canisius clear that went off the Griffs' goalpost.
