Trust components in rural Lao PDR The qualitative analysis yielded eight themes representing subcategories of trust in primary healthcare services in rural Lao PDR across the three main types of trust—interpersonal, institutional and service-related trust (represented through the coding framework in figure 3), which formed the basis for the subsequent development of quantitative survey indicators to measure trust at scale.
