CX3CR1 and CCR2: dynamic myeloid cell states across inflammatory diseases with implications for oral health and disease
Abstract Chemokine receptor-mediated immune cell trafficking is a fundamental determinant of inflammatory disease outcomes. Among chemokine receptors, CCR2 and CX3CR1 represent two functionally distinct but interconnected axes that regulate inflammatory monocyte recruitment and tissue macrophage retention, respectively.
Layered half-space modeling of piezoelectric TPMS-based CNT/PDMS composites under surface loadings
Abstract The present study investigates the static response of homogenized piezoelectric (PE) composites comprising a carbon nanotube (CNT)-doped polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix reinforced with piezoelectrically active material distributed within a Primitive Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) geometry, subjected to electric and mechanical loadings. The solution of each layer is expressed in terms of a cylindrical system of vector functions.

Uncovering potential CDK9 inhibitors from natural compound databases through docking-based virtual screening and MD simulations - Journal of Molecular Modeling
Abstract Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) plays a significant role in gene regulation and RNA polymerase II transcription under basal and stimulated conditions. The upregulation of transcriptional homeostasis by CDK9 leads to various malignant tumors and therefore acts as a valuable drug target in addressing cancer incidences.

Neutrophil extracellular traps and extracellular histones potentiate IL-17 inflammation in periodontitis
Inflammatory diseases linked to bone destruction such as RA and periodontitis are associated with local neutrophil infiltration in disease lesions (Cascao et al., 2010; Landzberg et al., 2015). While neutrophils have been implicated in these conditions, their role in mediating inflammatory bone destruction has not been fully determined. Here, we demonstrate a causative link between NETs and inflammatory bone destruction in vivo in a well-established model of periodontitis.

Conformationally-Inspired Total Syntheses of Ohmyungsamycins A and B and Structural Revision of Ohmyungsamycin B
The first total syntheses of bioactive cyclodepsipeptides ohmyungsamycin A and B have been achieved. The key features of our synthesis involve the concise preparation of the linear cyclization precursor, which consists of N-methyl amides and non-proteinogenic amino acids, and a bent conformationally-inspired macrolactamization. The revised structure of ohmyungsamycin B was established by our synthesis.
