Today, Edinburgh-based electronic producer Nick Dow has released his first album in six years, the gorgeously cinematic Struck. Loosely following themes of life, death and rebirth, its largely instrumental eight tracks ooze emotion, at times calling to mind artists like Jon Hopkins. We catch up with Dow to find out more about his inspirations growing up and get st(r)uck into his latest body of work.

In 2022 Katherine Aly released Shadows Are Made of Light Too, eight tracks that refused to confine themselves to one genre. Rooted in a much more band-forward aesthetic then, in 2024 she returned with 222, an EP that turned the Katherine Aly sound completely on its head. A more polished, confident and outspoken version of herself, Katherine Aly 2.0 brings with it an even stronger aesthetic – backing dancers, everything dripping in the colour orange and a new lesson to be learned from every song.
