We asked whether the pathogenesis of AD involves metabolic pathways, which are dependent on MPTAC. We examined the effects of MPTAC on metabolic enzymes, which might be impacted by Moco biosynthesis, through monitoring transcripts of the metabolic enzymes by RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). We extracted total RNA from HEK293 cells knocked down for MOCS2, which encodes both MOCS2A and MOCS2B (), and control using CRISPR constructs ( Figure 2 A).
