3. Results In both species, the fish readily consumed BSF meal and mixed feeds, and they were not selective between different feed particles. In the case of African catfish, the mean wet body weight at stocking was measured at 0.0144 ± 0.0028 g, dry body weight 0.0018 ± 0.0006 g, and total body length 12.58 mm ± 0.7 mm. At the end of the experiment, the fish showed very similar results for the different parameters. The first parameter tested was survival.
