Polston was originally sentenced to 15 years in prison, with eight of those years ordered to be served behind bars. Months into her sentence, she was released with an ankle monitor and sent home.

Both women say they received notices in the mail last week, saying they needed to fork over a lot of money for driving without something they already have. “Why should I have to pay? I’m not paying $190,” said Jo Leonard, who says she was wrongfully flagged for driving without insurance.

Piedmont delays decision on data center; neighboring city opposes proposal too

Monday night, the Piedmont City Council delayed voting on the matter until September. It came after developers presented their plan and addressed the issues worrying people most. There is also a neighboring city trying to stop a data center from also being built there.
