On the first day of the US - Israel strikes on Iran, a US Tomahawk missile strike in the southern port city of Minab killed at least 175 people, including dozens of children - many of them schoolgirls. In the days that followed, I briefly connected with a young member of the Iranian Red Crescent despite the crippling internet blackout that continues well into the third week of this escalating war. “It’s as if death has taken over our country,” she told me.
