MIANWALI: At least 16 terrorists belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in separate operations by the police, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and the security forces in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Monday. The Punjab police said that at least 10 terrorists were killed and several others injured in a joint police-CTD operation in the Makarwal area of the Mianwali district.

MIANWALI: Work of plugging a breach in a protective canal embankment was started with an excavator ma-chine in the Kacha Mashani area of Mianwali district. Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya inspected the embankment that had been damaged by heavy rainfall. He directed the officers concerned to strengthen the embankment's foundations to ensure the safety of local people's lives and property.

MIANWALI: A case has been registered against several WAPDA officials on the complaint of the father of a boy who had died after being electrocuted. The official nominated in the case include Executive Engineer Inamullah Khan, SDO Narendar Kumar, Line Superintendent Malik Amjad Bhatti, Linemen Muhammad Saeed and Muhammad Saleem, and Telephone Operator Muhammad Waris under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at the Saddar police station.
