To have an appetite for storytelling and then some.

When I don't have six others to still write.

Nikon D90, Macbook, Adobe Suites, iPhone, Pen & Paper.

Why did you become a journalist?
It was all on accident. I took an aptitude test and really fit the bill.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't. I was more into jazz then. But if I did - I would have made sure to photograph everything.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story about 50 immigrants who became naturalized as U.S. citizens.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Always have confidence.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime, or after I've had my morning dose of caffeine really.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
To continue coverage on a trial of a 1-year-old girl who was murdered. It might not have given me closure, but I needed to keep researching.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
To write about the opening of a new bank. Because, boring.
What's your favorite drink?
Non-alcoholic: Diet Coke. Alcoholic: Moscow Mule.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At the dog park.
