REEVES: The New Pro-Life Agenda
For 50 years, the pro-life movement in America has steadily and resiliently marched forward. With unparalleled grace, they have consistently made the case for the lives of unborn children. They built their foundation on truth and showcased the science that backed it up. They revealed to the nation the righteousness of their cause and the fervency of their commitment to it. Now, having built a movement over decades, their moment has come. The Supreme Court very well may overturn Roe v.

If My State Can Save For Emergencies Like COVID, So Can Others
The Biden administration and Congress are negotiating a federal coronavirus spending package, and while it has many worthy goals, one thing should be eliminated: bailing out state budgets. If they pass the billions of dollars in bailout money for state governments, as a governor, I’d get the political benefit of spending that money. It’s never unpopular. The most politically expedient thing for me to do right now would be to keep my head down and my hand out.
Use caution but don't panic
We are together in a moment of great uncertainty. It is a time when all of our lives are being disrupted as we come together to fight one common enemy. All of your state’s leaders are working hard, following the lead of experts, to combat the COVID-19 virus and prevent its spread in our communities. There is another enemy at this time. There is another disease. It is also global, but much older than the novel coronavirus. It is, historically, even more deadly, and it is far more contagious.

AP analysis: Jim Hood, Tate Reeves could headline 2019 governor’s race
JACKSON, Mississippi (AP) — The closing weeks of June have brought the first previews of what could be Mississippi’s 2019 race for governor — Jim Hood versus Tate Reeves. At this time last year, Phil Bryant was cruising toward re-election, while truck driver Robert Gray was still six weeks from shocking the world by winning the Democratic primary without even voting for himself. Bryant, of course, demolished Gray in the general election. So maybe it seems too soon to be talking about 2019.
