What was your first job as a journalist?

Editing the arts section of my college's alternative newspaper

I haven't!

What's your favorite social network?

Why did you become a journalist?

I'm going to spend all my time thinking about music anyway--it would be better to talk to some involved parties about it.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes! I covered school club events and drama productions, plus reviewed music.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Running your own blog for a few years is a great way to build experience

When's the best time to pitch you?

At least a month in advance

What's your favorite drink?

Currently Orange Cream Bubly Sparkling Water, but off the record, I've been known to enjoy a crisp

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

Not everyone is a critic, but most people *are* DJs
