In some form or other, I've been writing about music since 2015.

That was the year of my first contribution to UVA's alternative paper The Declaration: just a 250 word review blurb, but it sparked an obsession that led to countless more album write-ups, local show reviews, and interviews all the way up to graduation in May of 2017. Ekko Astral Frontwoman Jael Holzman Files Peace Order Petition Accusing Former Bandmate of Making Threats

D.C. punk band Ekko Astral announced their upcoming sophomore album, The Beltway Is Burning, on Wednesday, Feb. 11. By Friday, frontwoman Jael Holzman was standing in Montgomery County District Court alongside her lawyer to ask a judge to approve a petition for a final peace order she filed against former Ekko drummer, Miri Tyler. Holzman accused Tyler of threatening her on social media, according to her petition filed Feb. 6. Tyler has denied making threats against anyone.
