Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely across the tri-state area on Wednesday. Be weather aware in the morning and afternoon/evening. A few thunderstorms are possible Wednesday morning through west central IL. Expect partly sunny skies and warm temperatures through the day. Another round of more intense thunderstorms is expected in the afternoon and evening. Large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible. Most of the area is in the enhanced risk.
