Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, I was a staff writer and eventually an editor for my high school newspaper. While I wasn't writing about long-term investing just yet, covering school budgets and student fundraising goals was my first experience breaking down 'the numbers' into clear, accessible stories for my peers. It completely laid the foundation for how I approach financial education today.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am most proud of a recent comprehensive guide I wrote on building an emergency fund from scratch. Instead of relying on restrictive budgeting rules or heavy financial jargon, I focused on realistic, sustainable money habits. Seeing how it helped everyday earners feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their personal finances perfectly captures my core mission as a financial educator.
