Lucky | Huntini' Fool
April 2024 Story by Terry Mason State: Nevada Species: Sheep - Desert Lucky, that’s what I am. Every year, it’s kind of a fun game deciding where to apply for sheep tags in Nevada, trying to figure out where the best rams were taken from previousseasons and what units some big rams might be hanging out in. Lucky for me, my girlfriend’s father, Marc White, and my boss at work, Gary Hull, are sheep hunting fanatics and helped me with choosing areas for tag applications.
Letter: Don’t support Murkowski
I would like to state some facts about Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s reelection ads: I know for a fact she would not go out of her way to help Alaska veterans to get their benefits they are entitled to. She voted in favor of red flag laws, gun control and funding for Planned Parenthood. She voted for a Supreme Court justice who would not define the meaning of a female and did not support a Supreme Court justice who has not been found guilty of any allegations.

How can landlords & investors protect their investments during Covid-19?
It’s painfully apparent that the risk of landlords and investors not receiving rent during the Covid-19 pandemic is far higher than it was previously. Given the widespread economic impact of the pandemic, many landlords and investors who let their properties to working professionals/working families may suddenly find themselves receiving less or even no income. While Housing Benefit or Universal Credit may come to the rescue for some tenants, it takes time to apply and receive these benefits.
Surviving COVID nightmare against all odds
On the evening of March 25, I found myself walking down Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles past a homeless woman who had positioned her tent at the corner of a busy intersection. I was a bit irritated because her tent made it almost impossible for me to get across the street to the other side. To make matters even worse, I was extremely ill and could barely breathe.
It gets a little bit lonelier each week…
Last year seemed to have so many funerals, and 2020 started with two more, so when I was asked about ways to #ChangeTheNation – this seemed an obvious yarn.
Ban on agents' letting fees
New research from Fixflo shows that nearly 42% of all agents in the UK believe the looming letting fees ban will be the biggest challenge to their business this year. This is no surprise considering there is a real fear that the letting fee ban will lead to job cuts and will significantly reduce letting agents’ income. So is the future bleak for letting agents and is this ban good news for tenants? Lettings agents make significant profits on every new tenancy.
