Hundreds Sue AngioDynamics Over Port Catheter Injuries

A federal panel has consolidated AngioDynamic port lawsuits into federal multidistrict litigation (MDL) — a process designed to expedite the resolution of many lawsuits claiming similar injuries. AngioDynamics port catheters are devices that provide patients with long-term access to their veins, often for treatments such as chemotherapy.

DuPont to Pay $27M in Hoosick Falls PFAS Lawsuit Settlement

After nearly ten years of legal battles, chemical giant DuPont has agreed to pay $27 million to settle a lawsuit from residents of Hoosick Falls, New York. The lawsuit, championed by environmental activist Erin Brockovich, claimed that the small town’s water supply was polluted with “forever chemicals” — also known as PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.
