ABSTRACT Prolonged droughts and increased temperatures have exacerbated resource scarcity, forcing nomadic herders to move more frequently in search of pasture and water. This increased mobility often conflicts with local farming communities, creating heightened tensions and insecurity. This study investigated this trend in Benue and Nasarawa States of Nigeria. The study collected data from 620 respondents in the two states. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the study hypothesis.
