Tim Fitzsimons is a New York City-based journalist. He is currently a Master of Arts candidate in Politics Journalism at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He previously worked as a Washington reporter for Marketplace radio and as a producer and reporter at NPR.

A “tap” is the @grindr equivalent of an @instagram like (a simple compliment), but since it’s private and cannot be broadcast publicly like an Instagram like, it is deemed worthless. Thots?
