Levi Gadye’s Biography

I'm a freelance science writer and recently-graduated neuroscience Ph.D from UC Berkeley (December 2016). I've written for Motherboard (Vice) and io9/Gizmodo, and I got my start writing and editing with the Berkeley Science Review, a graduate student-run magazine. My writing is inspired by the many intersections of science, medicine, environment, and social justice. I have a penchant for introducing the general public to human brain specimens, and I've taught math and neuroscience on and off over the last five years at San Quentin State Prison, via the Prison University Project.
