#1 All, had a look online for an answer but cant find anything, so over to you good people. My back door wouldn't open, and I deduced it was the top shoot bolt. Managed to open the door by pulling it shut tighter as opposed to pushing. Turns out the bolt is not retracting due to friction. Pulled it off the door and had a look, and it appears the bolt is not fixed to the mechanism/gear.
