Carlsbad, Calif.—The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has added François Delage to its board of governors. Delage has more than three decades of experience in global luxury, fashion and jewelry retail. Most recently, he was the CEO of high-end real estate business Barnes International. Prior to that, he was the CEO of fine jewelry business Adorisa Group. Before that, Delage was the CEO of De Beers’ Forevermark diamond brand. From 2009 until 2020, he was the CEO of De Beers Jewellers in London.

Elton John’s condo, which he bought in the early 1990s, totaled more than 13,000 square feet, as the singer cobbled together multiple units in Atlanta’s Park Place condominium building over the years. The property sold last fall for $7.2 million. In an interview with Christie’s, the singer reflected on his time there, and how his growing appreciation for art and photography was the reason he ended up needing more space. “I have my taste,” Elton John said.

New York—David Yurman just launched its first high jewelry collection for men and has named a new global ambassador to front the campaign. Actor and director Michael B. Jordan will be the face of “The Vault” collection, available today, and will appear in its 2024 campaign this spring.
