What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a community journalist.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No. I have not.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is transforming news by enabling rapid dissemination of information, facilitating citizen journalism, and influencing the news agenda through user-generated content and real-time updates.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

One fictional journalist is Lois Lane, a character from the Superman comics and various adaptations, known for her investigative reporting at the Daily Planet.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

A sharper of communities and perspectives.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

The best way to pitch a story is to craft a concise, engaging narrative that highlights its relevance, uniqueness, and potential impact on the intended audience.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe InDesign, and content management systems (CMS) like WordPress to facilitate research, writing, and publishing tasks.

Facebook.

Why did you become a journalist?

To uncover truth, amplify diverse voices, and spark change through the power of storytelling.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes. We had a newsletter back in high school, it was called Tomorrow's Leaders. Learners from all grades would contribute.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Human interest story where people uplift other people.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Stay curious, hone your storytelling skills, and always strive for accuracy and integrity in your reporting.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

A compelling pitch might entail a startup offering an innovative solution to a pressing problem, backed by solid market research and a clear demonstration of its unique value proposition.

What's your favorite drink?

Coffee.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In front of a television or on my mobile phone checking the latest news and trends.

Being accused of being biased.
