What’s on Edinburgh’s stages this week? The big news of the week is the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival, the EICF, which runs all week at various venues around town. Full details of those shows in our dedicated page (and listings below). But there is plenty else on offer. The big noise of the week has to be at the Lyceum with Sweat (ends Sat 13 June: tickets).

★★★☆☆     Roadworthy Inverleith St Serf’s: Thur 28 – Sat 30 May 2026 Review by Thom Dibdin St Serf’s Players take a trip off in a new direction this week, with Waiting for Elvis, Philip Goulding’s road movie for the stage, which delivers modern comedy with a nicely historical edge. Goulding builds his play around the fact of Elvis Presley’s only steps on British soil while returning to the States after his national service in Germany.

Community companies first on King’s stage Seven of Edinburgh’s community theatre companies will be joining panto favourites Clare Gray and Gail Watson for A Great Night Out, the very first test production on the King’s Theatre’s newly revamped stage.
