In the world of architecture, a foundation is often hidden from view, yet it determines the strength, height, and longevity of everything built above it. For the past 10 years, Jeffrey Sackenheim, AIA, LEED AP, has served as a primary architect for a different kind of structure: the foundation of mental health care in Kentucky and beyond.

While in preparation for its season finale this past evening, Chamber Music Cincinnati announced its 2026-27 concert season, featuring some of the most highly regarded ensembles and solo artists from around the world. This 97th season might be its most ambitious yet. Founded in 1929, Chamber Music Cincinnati is America’s fifth oldest U.S. chamber music presenter – the only local entity to regularly feature the very best international touring chamber musicians at the pinnacle of their art.

Thom here, stepping in this week to pick up the slack for your regular FIXers, who each seem to be occupied elsewhere. Truth be told, they all provided a “note,” so I had to excuse them.
