Hybrid robotic TAMIS for massive rectal polyp—A video vignette
Dear Editor, We present a surgical video describing a hybrid robotic trans-anal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) for a massive benign rectal polyp as an alternative to total mesorectal excision. The patient presented is a frail comorbid 93 male, suffering from large volume mucous discharge secondary to a massive rectal polyp. The polyp extends from the anal verge to 9 cm, sparing the anterior rectum. Histology confirmed low-grade dysplasia, with no evidence of malignancy.
