Geographical and seasonal distribution of the Short-crested Coquette hummingbird: a microendemic and endangered species
Our results revealed a high overlap in the potential distribution of the SCCH during the dry and rainy seasons, although in the dry season, the distribution reached its lowest limit and during the rainy season, its highest limit of the elevational gradient used by this species. These expansions in the elevational distribution are related to food availability (both flowers and fruits).

Genetic structure and relatedness of brown trout (Salmo trutta) populations in the drainage basin of the Ölfusá river, South-Western Iceland
Changes in key climatic factors are predicted to be more pronounced in higher latitudes (Hoegh-Guldberg et al., 2018), and organisms that cannot respond by moving along gradients of latitude and altitude will be more affected (Chen et al., 2011). Potentially this applies to many populations of brown trout (Salmo trutta) in subarctic freshwater systems, such as those found in Iceland. This species most likely colonized Iceland soon after the end of the last Ice Age 10–14,000 years ago.
