One of the biggest events in all of comics is taking place in The Savage Sword of Conan issue 4. The event is “The battle of the Black Stone”! The Black Stone according to the current writer of Conan the Barbarian Jim Zub was one of those cryptic ingredient’s creator and writer of Conan the Barbarian Robert E. Howard used several times throughout his story telling. First published in 1931 in the Howard’s story titles The Black Stone.

Kingsville is a small island nation north of the largest continent of Valtoria. They are a mining nation that has found a unique mineral called Sycodone. A non-profit called the Alliance of Global Safety (AGS) was formed by Dr. Derickson meant to bring nations together to help form free trade, better living, and safer communities. Kingsville sold this mineral to AGS and with their technology have found that it contains properties that supply superhuman abilities.

The long-awaited issue one of TMNT is here and I can tell you it was worth the wait. Jason Aaron starts with Raphael. He is all alone without his brothers to be found. We know Raphael’s personality and how he likes to deal with things and that all comes out in this issue. Joelle Jones is amazing in the art. There is a lot of action and she captures it so well. It’s not just the action scenes that make this story come to life.
