Australia’s Eddie Beswick is finally a winner in the competitive USF2000 Championship after he took a hard-fought victory at Road America. Having shown promise across his first season with 11 top 10s and a runner-up finish, Beswick has finally secured the long-awaited win. In his 23rd start, the 21-year-old Sydney sider went all the way in the Road America opener. He joins Brad Majman as Australians to take USF2000 wins this year, with the pair now in the thick of the title fight.

The 2026 Darwin Triple Crown was the first to attract a three-day crowd of 40,000 to Hidden Valley in three years. The official attendance has been hailed as breaking the 40,000 barrier for the first time since the opening Gen3 weekend in 2023. The introduction of a Friday afternoon race has boosted the figures at Hidden Valley, which also welcomed Super2 for the first time alongside Carrera Cup, Trans Am and Territory Sedans.

Penrite Racing entered Darwin with the objective of knocking Triple Eight off the top of the teams’ championship, but is far from satisfied. Having left Tasmania 68 points behind, a win to Kai Allen, plus three further podiums across the team with Matt Payne, it heads to Townsville with a 39-point advantage over Triple Eight, which had a rare podium-less weekend. After winning Saturday’s race win, Allen was thrilled to get the team’s championship lead, crediting his union with Payne.
