Introduction Heart failure (HF) stands as a prominent contributor to global morbidity and mortality and has become a rapidly growing healthcare burden in Vietnam (1–3). Overweight and obesity, characterized by a higher body mass index (BMI), have been identified as important risk factors for the development of HF due to negative changes in hemodynamics and cardiac structure (4). The number of overweight/obese people is expected to rise rapidly, especially in low- and middle-income countries (5).
