Dissecting Kitaev Spin Liquid into Collective Patterns of Spin Coupling Bonds in Real Space
Submitted: 07 October 2025 You are already at the latest version How to characterize the topological order of quantum spin liquids remains a long-standing theoretical challenge. In this work, we employ the pattern decomposition method to analyze the fine structure of the Kitaev spin liquid on a finite honeycomb lattice. The Kitaev Hamiltonian decomposes into six sub-Hamiltonians whose weight factors form periodic patterns under unit cell translations.

Influence of the neck length of urease-powered flask-like colloidal motors on their kinematic behavior
Influence of the neck length of urease-powered flask-like colloidal motors on their kinematic behavior† Enzyme-powered synthetic colloidal motors hold promising potential for in vivo medical applications because of their unique features such as self-propulsion, sub-micrometer size, fuel bioavailability, and structural and functional versatility. However, the key parameters influencing the propulsion efficiency of enzyme-powered colloidal motors still remain unclear.

Entangled multi-knot lattice model of anyon current
Anyons in quantum many-body systems are exotic quasi-particles that bear special statistical character beyond that of fermions and bosons. It is the elementary unit for constructing fault-tolerant quantum computation.[1,2] An anyon can exist as a Majorana fermion or vortex core in a topological superconductor, and has been classified into the widespread existence of topological matter in recent years.[3] However, solid experimental manipulation of non-Abelian anyons remains a challenge so far.
Bubble-Pair Propelled Colloidal Kayaker
We report a hollow dumbbell-shaped manganese dioxide (MnO ) colloidal kayaker capable of converting a pair of breathing oxygen bubbles into self-propelled movement. The bubble pair generated by catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide fuel grew either synchronously or asynchronously, driving the colloidal kayaker to move along a fluctuating circle. The synchronous or asynchronous breathing mode of bubble pair is governed by the asymmetric catalytic sites of the colloidal kayakers.
Near Infrared Light-Powered Janus Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticle Motors
We describe fuel-free, near-infrared (NIR)-driven Janus mesoporous silica nanoparticle motors (JMSNMs) with diameters of 50, 80, and 120 nm.
