The Great Sacandaga Lake Association’s second annual clean-up day on May 30 was a great chance to bring together lake supporters and friends to celebrate environmental advocacy. The GSLA applauded the efforts of the volunteers who participated in the cleaning up and properly disposing of garbage around the lake.

ALBANY - The Ten Broeck Mansion will be closed until next Saturday for storm damage recovery, according to the Albany County Historical Association, which oversees the historic site and its four acres. Though the mansion dating to 1798 itself was not affected, there was tree loss and other damage, Association Executive Director Kathryn Kosto said late Thursday evening.

Jun. 20-New York's maple syrup season was a strong one this year, with almost 100,000 more gallons produced this year compared to 2023, federal statistics show. But Vermont still reigns supreme in the United States, with almost four times the production level of the Empire State, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which released the figures last week.
