Each month, data collected by police.uk shows the streets with the highest number of reported crimes in each district. The figures have been released for April 2026. There were a total of 1,008 crimes reported that month: Sutton, 506; Kirkby, 234; and Hucknall, 268. For additional breakdowns of crime figures per area, please visit www.police.uk The data indicates that crimes have been reported "on or near” specific streets, with latest figures compiled from the Ashfield district.

Mansfield man assaulted three cops after taking unknown drugs

Archie Davies-Clarke's mum called the police when he began shouting and swearing in the street after taking the drugs, on May 24, said Oreshia Thomas, prosecuting. He charged towards one officer and shoved him, then kicked out as two other officers took him to the ground. He pinched the officers' legs and unintentionally spat on one of their faces. He was found in possession of cannabis.

Tributes to Sutton market trader died peacefully at home aged 87 surrounded by her loving family

Tim Cunningham Margaret Olive Dudley passed away on January 26 and the case was referred to the coroner because of a fall she suffered last December, assistant coroner of Nottinghamshire, Sarah Wood, said. Mrs Dudley sustained a broken hip but surgery was ruled out as she was too frail. She was disharged from hospital and given end-of-life care at her home on Kirkby Road.
