1 Introduction Peroxygenases, including the recombinant unspecific peroxygenase (rAaeUPO) from Agrocybe aegerita [1], are a class of heme-containing enzymes that catalyze various oxyfunctionalization reactions using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), including stereoselective hydroxylations [2] and epoxidations [3, 4] that are challenging to achieve through conventional chemical methods. These characteristics make peroxygenases highly attractive for biocatalytic and industrial applications.
