It's the best job for a former punk rocker.

How First Nations in Northern BC are harnessing outdoor recreation to create a stable economic driver.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Put yourself out there and network at every given opportunity. Then, do what you tell people you'll do.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

A pitch about the 30th anniversary of the Romanian revolution from the perspective of a native citizen who now visits Romania as a traveler.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Any email that contains 3 or more pitches with minimal info about why any are relevant to my pub right now

What's your favorite drink?

Cold beer.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

On a splitboard in the mountains.

National Geographic

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That carbon offsets are inherently legit.
