Water pills can make you urinate more, so it's important to avoid dehydration. Ask your healthcare provider how much water to drink daily while taking water pills. Taking water pills can lead to dehydration due to increased urination, but you usually don't need to increase your water intake unless advised by your healthcare provider. How much you need can vary with your health condition. Always ensure your daily fluid consumption meets your body's needs, in keeping with your provider's guidance.

Insulin is a hormone produced in your pancreas. When you eat foods high in carbohydrates, a healthy pancreas produces just the right amount of insulin. Your insulin then lowers your blood sugar. However, if your pancreas has been damaged or isn't working as well due to a disease like diabetes, it might not be able to produce as much insulin. This can cause uncontrolled blood sugar levels, leading to other serious health issues.
