To capture the greatest audience possible for education, a paradigm must shift. Businesses need to drive education forward, as they’re the ones that know firsthand what skills they need from their employees. Community colleges are at the forefront of developing programs that focus on what employers are looking for, but there is still work to be done. The best option right now is to mirror the environment found in the workforce as closely as they can.

Supporting students in a post-pandemic world means focusing on equity and access to get students through the door, then providing the necessary supports to ensure they persist with their education. In March 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic changed the way we all lived and worked in addition to being the reason behind far too many lives lost.
