1 Introduction Drug–drug interactions (DDIs) refer to the interference of one drug with at least one other resulting in altered pharmacokinetics (PK) and/or pharmacodynamics (PD) of at least one of the drugs involved. Traditionally, DDIs are linked to small molecule drugs through mechanisms involving drug-metabolizing enzymes and transporters (DMETs). However, there is increasing recognition of the importance of both drug-disease and DDIs involving biologics.
