Evaluating Privacy, Security, and Trust Perceptions in Conversational AI: A Systematic Review
[Submitted on 13 Jun 2024] Title:Evaluating Privacy, Security, and Trust Perceptions in Conversational AI: A Systematic Review View a PDF of the paper titled Evaluating Privacy, Security, and Trust Perceptions in Conversational AI: A Systematic Review, by Anna Leschanowsky and 3 other authors View PDF HTML (experimental) Abstract:Conversational AI (CAI) systems which encompass voice- and text-based assistants are on the rise and have been largely integrated into people's everyday lives.
Puheen vuorovaikutusteknologia
Interactions with digital voice assistants are largely based on a question-and-answer paradigm. Human-to-human dialogue is, however, much more than that. We speak in incomplete sentences, sometimes overlapping with each other and we use backchannel expressions like ‘uh-oh’, ‘hmm’ as affirmations and to express disagreement also while the other is speaking. Clearly, dialogues are thus continuous, dynamic, fully bidirectional interactions.
Information bottlenecks
Notes on speech processing, 2.9.2021 Autoencoders and other deep neural networks with information bottlenecks have become fashionable. The heuristic idea is that the dimensionality of the hidden layers is reduced such that the network is forced to focus on the important part of the data. Experiments have also demonstrated that autoencoders are efficient in this sense. I have however been left wondering whether the amount of information can be characterized in exact terms.
Enhancement by postfiltering for speech and audio coding in ad hoc sensor networks
The emergence of connected and portable devices like smartphones and the rising popularity of voice user-interfaces and devices equipped with microphones enable the necessary infrastructure for ad hoc wireless acoustic sensor networks (WASNs). The dense, ad hoc positioning and collaboration in a WASN leads to efficient sampling of the acoustic space, thereby gaining higher quality signal estimates compared to single-channel estimates (Bertrand, 20118. Bertrand, A. (2011).
13 days — How the US looked within itself and was stunned.
Hard right wingers brandishing shotguns and handguns storm a pivotal meeting of state officials. The mob smash up the place, ram an armoured vehicle into the glass building, and daub graffiti on walls in a 2-hour reckless spree as officials clear the debating chamber to lock themselves away fearing for their lives. No, this isn’t the 6th January 2012.
