MPS assets set to pass £250bn as adviser demand grows

Assets held in discretionary model portfolio services (MPS) on adviser platforms are on course to exceed £250bn before the end of 2026, according to Platforum. The research firm said MPS assets under management reached more than £240bn at the end of June, up 12.5% during the first half of the year and 19.7% year-on-year. Third-party models now account for 28% of total advised assets on adviser platforms.

IPTF broadens focus beyond income protection

The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) is to broaden how it describes its work from 2027, placing greater emphasis on financial resilience across the individual protection market. The IPTF said income protection would remain at the centre of its work but it would increasingly frame its activities around what it calls “Resilience Insurance”.
