Italian Sausage and Bean Soup
Italian Sausage and Bean Soup Yummy! This soup is great! I make this soup when I make an Italian dinner for guests and everyone wants the recipe. It's also great on those cold winter days where suppers call for a hot and delicious soup. A combination of sausage and vegetable in a beefy broth. This may be made a day in advance. Tastes even better the second day. Enjoy! Submitted by Sharon Updated on May 6, 2026
Hamburger Stew with Cabbage
Hamburger Stew with Cabbage I grew up eating Shoney's hamburger soup with cabbage in Kansas City with my parents. They had an all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar, and it was the highlight of my week. Even as a kid, I've always loved soup. Then we moved out of state. Even though it has been nearly 40 years since I last had it, I never forgot about their cabbage soup with hamburger. I decided to recreate it based on my memory, and here is what I came up with.
Oven BBQ Beef Brisket
Oven BBQ Beef Brisket BBQ brisket is great for feeding a family. This easy recipe calls for just a few pantry ingredients and requires very little attention as it slow cooks for hours in the oven until the brisket is tender and delicious. Submitted by JMOOSE Updated on April 28, 2026
Venus de Milo Soup
Venus de Milo Soup This recipe is my version of the popular Venus de Milo soup served at a well-known banquet facility in southeastern Massachusetts. It is simple to prepare using common ingredients you may already have on hand in your pantry and freezer. Feel free to vary the basic recipe with in-season fresh veggies and low-fat turkey or veggie-soy burger for the ground beef. Submitted by Elizabeth Cornell Chedid Updated on March 19, 2026
Steak Pie
Steak Pie This steak pie is my version of one made in a Scottish bakery in Pickering, Ontario. My husband says it's better! You could also add two calf kidneys (well washed and de-veined and cut into bite-sized pieces) to make steak and kidney pie! Submitted by JIMZGRL Updated on March 17, 2026
