I would like to share a story of perseverance, hard work, and the relentless pursuit of education. Meet John Doe, one of six children, raised by parents who never completed high school. His father passed away when John was just three, leaving him to navigate life's challenges from an early age. John took on a paper route and odd jobs like shoveling snow, and by age 14, he was working 20 to 30 hours a week in a grocery store. Upon graduating from high school, John enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Whether we like it or not, stereotyping exists in all societies. Some people think of it as a necessity as it helps guide us on what we should or should not do. However, stereotyping can also hinder progress. Traditionally, men are perceived to be the breadwinner and head of the family. First phonological rule is “Assimilation” It is a common phonological process by which one sound becomes more like a nearby sound. This can occur either within a word or between words. This process would be very observed in the last sound /d/ of the word (good) when it becomes /g/.
