Ideas & Opinions — Tom Woods: No Kings protests
It seems that the editor is publishing inaccurate and plain old lies. Michael Garitty makes claims that are not close to true. He insists that there isn't enough parking for the No Kings demonstration numbers. If there is any place with lots of parking, it's the whole Brunswick Basin and the other side of Highway 20.
Ideas & Opinions — Tom Woods: Liberals are neither violent nor lawless
I read Greg Marshall's indictment of liberals being violent and lawless. It might be believable if he didn't use "they" as a fill in for no facts. There were no violent actions at the NO KINGS demonstrations, prove me wrong. He declares that Biden used censorship to ruin the country but doesn't cite who said what and where.
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: So much lying about the Big Beautiful Bill
I am amazed with the level of out and out lying going on especially about the Big Beautiful Bill is going to do. At the end of this year many of the most needy lose health care and that is why the Dems are holding fast to stopping these cuts. And now the Repubs are moaning about taking care of citizens is JUST TOO EXPENSIVE?? Really? Do the Repubs feel that nobody saw them giving further tax breaks to the ever so needy the Ultra Greedy Class a couple months ago?
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Bill Maher and President Trump
While Bill Maher was sharing his three days with the president, finding him to be a mellow, aware guy I was feeling that he was taken in by the president that never stops lying and his attack on our government is ongoing. What evidence do I need? How about his love of Hitler?
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Where did conservatives come up with such goofy ideas?
I am curious where conservatives come up with goofy ideas such as, “Trump isn’t a fascist that Harris is a facsist”, says Remoana Greb? What is a dictatorship ? It is the takeover of government by misinformation or in Trumps case sending thugs to stop the lawful change of government and scam to give corporations more rights than citizens. Then Jo Ann Rebane blames the closing of a Grass Valley business on the current Pres and Vice Pres.,, REALLY?
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Chrisman's facts and logic are called into question
I just read the logic and facts according to Robert Chrisman. He mentions his facts and logic 6 times asserting that Democrats depend on some kind of government handouts. Drug companies spend more on lobbying than drug research and Trump and the Repubs gave 3 trillion in permanent tax cuts for the ultra wealthy while taking away from those who travel for work all deductions for milage and housing. Who doesn’t have a good reason to lobby for one’s self interests?
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Now I understand. NOT!
Seems to me that a lot of citizens have their panties in a bunch over amongst other things student loan forgiveness. What I have learned from multiple sources is that part of the original loan programs had up until recently a part of the program was loan forgiveness after so many years of payments usually 20 years. Why this wasn’t revealed I don’t know. Are these indignant people also mad about the tax ripoff of over 3 trillion dollars that the Repubs and Trump gave away to the ultra wealthy?
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: When a dictator takes over only his buddies get to vote
Who to vote for? Pretty simple stuff for anyone to do some basic research. Research means getting reliable news sources and not just running with what that citizen likes. For me I won't vote for anyone who is mean and ridicules handicapped citizens. If the candidate is always sniveling about being victimized while flying around in a 737 I will avoid that person. There is mystery, "Why are people attracted to him." isn't that hard to figure.
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: I won't go quietly!
I have worked as a welder/mechanic since being a F-4 mechanic in the Marines. I have loved riding motorcycles my whole life. Now at 72 years old all of my extreme living causes serious pain. I have had spinal laminectomy, 3 shoulder repairs that are unrepaired now. I have fought a bone infection from ankle replacement since May 2001 with an open wound that you can see my ankle bone. Changing the dressing every other day.
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: I call into question all of Thomas Elias' beliefs/writings
I have been watching Thomas Elias post lengthy ideas mainly being conservative in nature. Ayn Rand would be proud with these verbose ramblings. He asserts vast knowledge of his opponents point of view but only finding liberals to be loopy and not to be trusted. Please do not tell me what I am thinking as a liberal. What I do know is if someone is spewing nonsense they usually spew it about most if not all their ideas.
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Liberal bs
When I read climate deniers like Rob Chrisman cite books, web sites I wonder if he is just looking to find so called facts that back up his POV rather than searching for truth. He asserts numerous times that nothing is happening, What me worry? I am a retired union Boilermaker that has built ships, decades in shops and erecting and maintaining nuclear reactors, coal burning power stations, refineries and concrete plants.
Ideas & Opinions - Tom Woods: Who is the real Herb Lindberg?
Reading all of the concerned responses from Herb Lindberg that he whispered in thier ears turns out to be a sucker magnet. According to an obituary he died in 2021. So who is the pretend Herb who shared the wisdom of the world in 6 five minute videos? He makes the assertion that wind and solar are causing devastation, what devastation? He leads readers to believe besides mining, milling, rod making, plant operations and depleted rod storage all is fine?
Tom Woods: Fair needs proper art display space
I am a metal sculpturer who has entered metal art to the Nevada County Fair for 10 years. In the past four years, the fair has increasingly done worse presenting art in a building with walls where nails or screws are never used — to protect the sacred walls? Last year, I entered a wall hanging light, winning first and second place, that was not hung because hanging art on the walls is forbidden.
Tom Woods: The wild world of politics
There are sheep and wolves in this life, especially in politics. In the wild world, carnivorous animals tend to eat whatever they want or can catch. In the political world there are “CONivorous” creatures too. As with flesh eating carnivores, CONivorous political creatures lie, cheat, and bully at every opportunity, as with some prominent national political hacks.
Tom Woods: PG&E’s vast shortcomings
| For the third time in one week the power is out in Rough and Ready. I contacted the linemen, and they shared that the circuits are set on “sensitive” to anything touching wires.
