Abstract A multifunctional sodium alginate/polyacrylamide/titanium dioxide (SA/PAM/TiO2) double network composite hydrogel was successfully prepared by sunlight-induced polymerization and ionic cross-linking method and the relationship between its structure and properties was studied.
