Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yup. And I still have the one my grandfather used to file stories as a sports beat writer for the Milwaukee Sentinel in the '50s.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Michael Keaton's character in "The Paper."

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I love to write

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Briefly. I wrote a story for our April Fools' edition about integrating the girls and boys in our dysfunctional class. It was a hit.
