DO NOT buy an Ocean One...it distorts your watch reality!
So about a year ago, after my recent divorce, since I didn't have a wife around to buy me a nice Christmas present, I decided to buy my first automatic watch- a Steinhart Ocean One black with ceramic bezel. When I got the watch, I was amazed at how nice it looked. Everything about the watch oozed quality.
Dings from bead bracelets!
#1 · I know lots of people on here wear bracelets, whether beads, leather, etc beside their watch. I love the look of wearing a bead bracelet and have been wearing one with my Speedy with no problems. Since picking up my brand new Submariner 114060 I've noticed that the case has been slightly marred due to the bracelet (at least I think it's from the bracelet. I haven't hit anything hard with my watch).

In most ETA movements, between 30-40 turns will fully "charge" a FULLY unwound movement and depending on the movement, last 40-50 hours. (so you'll need to give it less turns if you are winding it before the mainspring has fully unwound - see last paragraph for a guide on when to stop).

Pillow Case Watches
Hey WUS, I thought it would be interesting to discuss pillow case watch designs...I know probably the most famous or well known one is Panerai but what other brands do you know have pillow case watch designs that are just as beautiful to look at? I can't really think of too many, maybe Magrette? I'm not sure of too too many... I think the design is beautiful (pillow) and would love to expand my knowledge! Thanks!! IWC Safari Titanium Big Pilot
#1 · Anyone else reserved one? Mr. Grainger-Herr (IWC CEO) posted a one-off prototype of a matt titanium Big Pilot recently on Instagram. Got asked to consider producing a small run of them if they could find 50 people who wanted one -demand of which was easily met. Now, they're doing a limited run of 100 pieces for delivery next year, and looks like it will run out soon. Thoughts? Personally I think it looks pretty cool. Quite similar to the 5002.
PAM720 plexiglass question
#1 · Hi all, I’m looking at purchasing a second Panerai and have decided on the PAM720. My only disappointment is that it comes with plexiglass and not sapphire crystal. I understand that the 720 comes with a spare. Can anyone confirm if this spare is also plexiglass? And is it possible to have a sapphire crystal fitted later? Thanks. hey guys hope all is well.. been living under the rock.. i haven't purchased a watch in several years. so reaching out to you to help me buy a watch for a friend. he knows nothing about Panerai and watches in general. but knows exactly what he wanted. he's only interested in one Model. that is: 104 or 1104 (same as 104 but with an in-house caliber). first and foremost . looking for a Trusted dealer that some of you have purchased in the past and or in most recent time. i checked Touneau.

is it risky to buy a brand new Omega without a warranty card?
hi been recently shopping for the Dark side of the moon. i was told yesterday that OMEGA Authorized Dealers aren't discounting their watches anymore. that means i will have to pay full retail (and it's not a good feeling). however i found a big outlet that has my watch for 26% discount (we're talking 3K less than retail), yet their watches don't come with warranty cards. should i take the risk and go for it or pay full retail for a peace of mind?. Cheers

some may have seen the new release: PAM 2020 RADIOMIR VENTI 45 mm. did they really have to have: paneristi.com on the dial ?!!!. what an absolute disaster . looks tacky and cheap in my eye. the printing on the Caseback would've been more than enough. other than that. it's a Gorgeous piece. love the sandwich dial & color, the Hands, the Beefy case diameter, and dome crystal. oh well. there's something for everyone i guess.
